Green tripe is one of those super duper food sources for our dogs. The proteins are highly digestible and the smell is awesome to a dog, though sadly not to us! It contains a whole host of vitamins and nutrients, digestive enzymes (these aid digestion so the body does not have to expend as much energy in the digestion process) and pro-biotics (the good bacteria), so there no need to spend a fortune on bottles of those now.

Tripe is the lining of the stomach from any ruminant (grazing animal). In the Bella and Duke raw food range, we use beef tripe. Green tripe is not tampered with at all. It's fresh and just a short rinse under cold water is all it has before being minced in with other protein sources. It is neither boiled nor bleached (which actually takes away all the benefits, as does cooking of any food product).

It's also great for putting weight on skinny dogs.
