Firstly- don't panic it's not a bad thing to teach your dog a little patience!
 
We suggest you take the block out of the container and leave it at room temperature to defrost, this will happen quicker if you can cut it into 8 lumps, but don't chop your fingers off!

If you're desperate, then put the tray of frozen food (with the lid on) inside a larger plastic container and add hot water to the larger container to help move the defrosting process on its way.

We do not advocate defrosting in the microwave. This depletes nutrients (which isn't an issue for the odd meal) but mainly because it changes the molecular structure in the bone and it becomes indigestible. Plus it absolutely stinks your house out !
