As a general rule we recommend an adult dog should eat between 2 - 3% of their body weight per day, for example an adult dog weighing 10kg may require 200g - 300g per day.
Puppies will need between 5 - 10% of their body weight per day, depending on their age.
Our feeding calculator tool makes it easy to work out your pet's recommended daily feed. Please note our feeding calculator relates specifically to Bella & Duke raw food rather than standard processed or other raw dog food.
This is a great guide to use as a starting point, which you can then adapt in line with your dog's individual requirements.
Extra considerations
- Some dogs may require more food at certain times of year for example, they may require more in winter due to being more active in the colder months and less in the summer months. Find out why dogs eat less in summer.
- Dogs may require food intake to increase on days they are particularly active, and reduce on quieter days.
- The amount that your individual dog needs each day may vary depending on their energy levels, amount of exercise they get, their individual metabolism, stress levels, health status and so on.
