There are 2 ways you can transition your dog from kibble to our raw food:
- Straight swap: At their next meal time, serve them a bowl of raw food. Sounds simple? It is, and most dogs will dig in their new food with no problems
- Gradual swap: Over a period of days, 4 works quite well; give them a reduced amount of their current food along with a small serving of raw food. For example, on day 1, feed 3/4 of the amount of their current food, and 1/4 of the amount of raw food they should be having. Once they are happily eating this, adjust the amounts until they are fully eating a raw diet
The gradual swap is suited to dogs who are nervous of a change in food or who have sensitive tummies.
